Today on Sky Sports Racing: Worcester, Wolverhampton and Ripon feature on Monday | Racing News

The Sky Sports Racing cameras head to Worcester’s jumps meeting and the Flat fixtures at Ripon and Wolverhampton on Monday, with 21 live races across the three tracks.

3.45 Worcester – Lallygag, Mr Freedom and Bethpage clash

Lallygag, Mr Freedom and Bethpage clash in the AK Bets Meet Celebrant Dave On-Course Handicap Hurdle (3.45).

Sheena West saddles Mr Freedom, who was once fifth in the Fred Winter. He won last time out on the Flat but has been less than consistent before this. He needs to return to that Cheltenham Festival performance level to be in with a chance.

Lallygag’s form looked somewhat consistent before he ran out last time at Newton Abbot and, in an attempt to refocus the seven-year-old, Paul Nicholls reaches for the cheekpieces and re-instates champion jockey Harry Cobden for a steady set of hands.

The danger horse here is the four-timer seeking Bethpage. Joe Anderson takes off a valuable 3lb but this appears to be a deeper contest for him.

7.25 Ripon – Last-time-out winners Havana Prince and Makalu feature

In-form duo Havana Prince and Makalu feature in the Bishopton Equine Handicap (7.25).

Front-running Havana Prince is seeking a hat-trick of wins at Ripon following two consecutive course and distance victories. There could be more improvement at a track that clearly suits him.

Ruth Carr’s Makalu managed to defy a poor start last time out to notch a win at Beverley. He is only off 4lb higher and can be competitive.

Garden Oasis is also somewhat of a course specialist with five wins at Ripon to his name, he won off 85 back in 2021 and has a big chance.

8.00 Ripon – High Opinion bids for hat-trick

High Opinion bids for three on the bounce in the Download The At The Races App Handicap (8.00).

Bryan Smart’s five-year-old was always doing enough to win at Catterick last time out and that form has taken a boost as the second has won since. Despite being raised 5lb in the weights, Andrew Breslin on board will try to counteract this by taking off a handy 3lb.

Vadamiah seems to enjoy the trip around Ripon and could enter calculations in the hands of Luke Morris.

Paddy’s Day was only beaten a neck last time out at Newcastle but he did not seem fully comfortable over this course and distance earlier this season. He needs to bring his best here.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Well-bred Kikkuli seeks Group One glory | Racing News

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Well-bred Kikkuli seeks Group One glory | Racing News

The Sky Sports Racing cameras are on the continent this weekend, with some top-quality action from Deauville in store on Sunday…

3.07 Deauville – Kikkuli and Devil’s Point seek Group 1 glory

The Harry Charlton-trained Kikkuli returns having finished an agonising second behind Haatem in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot and a similar effort would see him go close as he steps up to Group 1 company for the first time.

David Menuiser has enjoyed plenty of Group 1 placings this season and Devil’s Point bids to follow up his German 2000 Guineas with Benoit de la Sayette replacing Silvestre De Sousa in the plate.

Iberian will hope to bounce back from his heavy 2000 Guineas defeat, while French 1000 Guineas runner-up Kathmandu remains lightly raced and should be considered for the Brian Meehan and Sean Levey combination.

4.15 Deauville – Spycatcher bids for repeat success

Karl Burke’s Spycatcher produced a sparkling display to comfortably claim this contest last season and he seeks a repeat success having finished fifth in this grade at Newcastle last weekend.

Richard Hannon’s Shouldvebeenaring has performed with credit despite meeting with defeat on his five starts this season and this tough four-year-old is sure to be in the mix under Sean Levey.

Last year’s second Batwan is worth a mention after his solid runner-up effort at Chantilly last month.

3.40 Deauville – UK raiders Miaharris and Fair Angellica contest Listed prize

Owen Burrows saddles Miaharris who showed improved form when finishing a narrow third in the Group 3 Prix Texanita at Chantilly and she is fancied to progress again with the step up in distance likely to suit.

Richard Hughes’ Fair Angellica has an excellent strike rate winning four of her six starts, but she will need to improve on her recent Sandringham defeat as she steps up in class under Ryan Moore.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Kylian seeking Doncaster success with Newton Abbot also featuring on Friday | Racing News

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Kylian seeking Doncaster success with Newton Abbot also featuring on Friday | Racing News

The Sky Sports Racing cameras head to Doncaster and Newton Abbot on Friday afternoon, with 14 live races in store on the Flat and over jumps.

3.50 Doncaster – Kylian drops into handicap company

Kylian is having his first run in a handicap in the bettingsites.co.uk Betting Sites Handicap and should go close if running to the same form of his six-length win in the Dragon Stakes at Sandown a year ago.

His five subsequent starts – his last two for Archie Watson after switching from Karl Burke’s yard – in Listed and Group company have proved fruitless, but the horse should be more settled down in class after finishing 12th behind Asfoora in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot last time.

Looking For Lynda finished seventh in this race last year but now races off a 6lb lower mark and has been running consistently this season. He could make use of his falling rating.

Of the rest, Nigel Tinkler’s four-year-old Squealer just lost out to Navello at Windsor last time and a similar performance should allow him to be competitive, despite a 1lb rise.

2.40 Doncaster – Sea Regal and Regal Connection feature

William Haggas’ Sea Regal won at Ripon when stepped up to a mile and two furlongs for the first time and holds obvious claims representing a yard that landed this bettingsites.co.uk Safe Betting Sites Novice Stakes in 2022 with Sea On Time.

Regal Connection was a well-beaten bronze medallist on debut at Leicester and steps up to one mile and four, which looks sure to suit. He must be respected for Charlie Appleby and Godolphin.

Ed Walker’s Crown Of India did well to finish third at Salisbury, having been short of room. He is bound to improve with race experience and looked to relish the step up in trip to 1m 4f.

2.50 Newton Abbot – Melton Mossy on hat-trick hunt

The Evan Williams-trained Melton Mossy won nicely at Worcester and faces another 7lb rise in the newtonabbotracing.com Handicap Hurdle but is the sort to keep improving with Adam Wedge onboard.

Sam Twiston-Davies gets the leg up on Jumeirah King, who carries a 7lb penalty following his recent win at Worcester. There could still be more to come.

Another to note would be Carrigeen Kampala who looked to have a fair bit in hand last time out when comfortably winning to land her fourth victory at the Devon track.

Best of the rest

Beylerbeyi was successful in handicap company at Doncaster last time out and returns seeking a treble for Richard Kingscote and Ian Williams. Thanks Dad and Panama City also go to post at 2.05 in what looks an intriguing one-mile contest.

Two last-time-out winners Arcon and Visibility clash at Doncaster (3.15) before Angel Shared goes in search of a four-timer at 4.25.

Over at Newton Abbot, Gower Prince is looking for his fourth victory at the track before the similarly prolific Clearance goes to post at 4.00.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Richard Kingscote heads to Bath for Crimson Angel ride on Wednesday | Racing News

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Richard Kingscote heads to Bath for Crimson Angel ride on Wednesday | Racing News

Richard Kingscote is heading to Bath’s evening meeting for just the one ride on Wednesday, aboard Crimson Angel in the feature – live on Sky Sports Racing.

6.30 Bath – Abolish and Crimson Angel clash

Abolish has been consistent enough in his recent runs but the eight-year-old could defy his lack of wins in the Mike Loftus Is 60 Today “Confined” Handicap. He is 25lb below his last winning mark and, with the visor reached for, he may be refocused.

Crimson Angel is the ride of Kingscote and looked a horse to follow after her first three starts, being 2-3 in them. Since then she has dropped to a tempting mark of 76 after not quite reaching the same heights. Last time at Salisbury showed signs of a resurrection in her form and it would not be a surprise if she went closer today.

6.00 Bath – Second Collection looks to defy 4lb penalty

The Tony Carroll-trained Second Collection has been a tricky customer in recent years but got his head back in front for the first time this season at Bath just nine days ago. The quick turnaround means he will be carrying a 4lb penalty for that victory, while Luke Morris retains the ride.

Tilsworth Ony Ta has dropped to a favourable mark for this Bet £10 Get £10 At Yeeehaaa.Bet Handicap after some poor runs in defeat at Chelmsford and Southwell. A return to the turf at a course where he has won before could spark a revival.

7.35 Bath – Atlantis Blue bids to lose maiden tag

At the age of five Atlantis Blue has been hitting the crossbar throughout her career but drops in class after running well for a long way in a competitive handicap on Saturday at Doncaster. A record of 0-15 does not appeal but the Yeeehaaa.Bet Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes is clearly the easiest race she has contested for a while and she should go well.

Flying Star has been progressive in three starts for John Berry with two places to her name. She was clearly a late developer having only started racing at the start of the year but has seemingly learnt with every run. It is a surprise they have not gone into handicap company yet with a mark of 64 allotted but this is weak enough for her to be competitive.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Oisin Murphy, Rossa Ryan and Tom Marquand in action at Lingfield | Racing News

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Oisin Murphy, Rossa Ryan and Tom Marquand in action at Lingfield | Racing News

A plethora of star jockeys descend on Brighton and Lingfield on Tuesday – live on Sky Sports Racing…

3.55 Brighton – Last time out winners clash

Corporate Raider has sparked back to life since he ran at Brighton two starts ago winning last time out and a return to 1m2f definitely won’t be a problem for him.

A step up in trip awaits recent Chepstow scorer Bhuybezi who on the evidence of his victory last time out, he could relish this trip under the same patient tactics.

Course and distance hero Gallimimus is slowly dropping down the handicap and a return to his favoured track could see him outrun his odds.

4.25 Brighton – Six-time course specialist Rivas Rob Roy headlines

The nine-year-old Rivas Rob Roy put up a gallant effort last time out and now down to a mark of 52 he would be dangerous to ignore, especially at his preferred stomping ground.

Lady Wingalong has been in good form since joining the David Evans team and was unlucky not to win last time out. Kondratiev Wave will likely be a contender, boasting strong form this season for the Tony Carroll team. The seven-year-old has not finished outside the top two on his last four visits to the south coast and the drop back down in trip should do no harm.

Last time out winner Gilt Edge was given a patient ride when winning and his rune here two starts ago gives extra encouragement that he won’t be far away.

7.30 Lingfield – Well-bred Archivist takes on Seraph Gabriel

Sir Michael Stoute saddles debutant Archivist for Cheveley Park, who is a half-brother to the very useful New Kingdom and any market support would be very eye-catching.

Seraph Gabriel wasn’t beaten far on debut at Newbury and the Ralph Beckett yard are in great form at present. He looks the form pick here, but will have to be wary of Hot Property who runs under Billy Loughnane.

Frankel colt Best Adventure was well supported on debut but was a shade disappointing but would be no surprise with that experience under his belt to take a big step forward again today.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Flat stars at Windsor including William Buick and Oisin Murphy | Racing News

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Flat stars at Windsor including William Buick and Oisin Murphy | Racing News

Monday has jumping in the day from Worcester while the evening hosts flat racing from Wolverhampton and Windsor including star jockeys like Tom Marquand and Oisin Murphy.

2.55 Worcester – Almanzhar Garde heads field in feature

Impressive Bangor winner Almanzhar Garde headlines in the feature the Get Best Odds Guaranteed At planetsportbet Handicap Chase (2.55).

Charlie Longsdon’s nine-year-old got back to winning ways at Bangor last time out after running consistently prior to it. If he reproduces that form he is going to be hard to beat even with a 7lb rise.

The ultra-consistent Bbold got his head in front last time out comfortably at Stratford. He’s found a new lease of life since the stable switch to Daisy Hitchins and there’s no reason to suggest why he can’t play another major role here.

Yes Indeed ran well after a short break on his most recent run when he wasn’t beaten too far into fourth with a first-time visor. The same headgear is retained today.

5.25 Wolverhampton – Course and distance winner Caelan and Loveable Rogue clash

Caelan and Loveable Rogue clash in the Tips For Every Race At raceday-ready.com Handicap (5.25).

Course and distance winner Caelan made an exciting two-year-old start at Kempton and is two from three on the all-weather. A return to this surface with the application of first time cheekpieces could easily see him get his third career victory.

Stablemate for Marco Botti is Endosser who can’t be underestimated off this mark and is fitted with first time blinkers.

James Owen sends handicap debutant Loveable Rogue who appreciated the step up in trip last time out. He looks dangerous with top apprentice Sean D Bowen in the saddle, off what looks a very lenient mark.

7.15 Windsor – Rohaan takes on hat-trick seeking Haymaker

Dual Royal Ascot winner Rohaan meets hat-trick seeking Haymaker in the Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap (7.15).

David Evans’ Rohaan is taking a drop in grade which could help him bounce back to winning ways, write him off at your peril.

Haymaker put up a good fight to hold on at Goodwood last time and seeks a hat-trick here but this is a much tougher contest.

Course and distance winner Shagraan was last seen finishing a creditable fifth in the Palace Of Holyrood at Royal Ascot. He arrives here off the same mark and is sure to be well favoured in the betting with Tom Marquand onboard.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: Feed The Flame and Point Lonsdale feature in Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud | Racing News

The live action on Sky Sports Racing continues with Group 1 action at Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, with jumping from Uttoxeter and all-weather racing from Wolverhampton

2.55 Saint-Cloud – Group 1 Feed The Flame and Point Lonsdale feature

Aidan O’Brien’s Point Lonsdale and Feed The Flame feature in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (2.55).

O’Brien claimed this prize with Broome in 2021 and looks to have a big chance this year as Point Lonsdale bids to build on his recent Chester success and record a first Group 1 victory under Ioritz Mendizabal.

Pascal Bary’s Feed The Flame will be popular for the home team and he looks primed for a big show having finished third in the Coronation Cup at Epsom last month.

Of the others, Outbox is a UK raider for Archie Watson. He should bounce back from the Klampenborg Group 3 and get back to his winning ways like at Newmarket on his penultimate start.

3.00 Uttoxeter – Hang In There and Hidden Heroics headline in Summer Cup

The strong field is headlined by Hang In There and Hidden Heroics in the bet365 Summer Cup Handicap Chase (3.00).

Emma Lavelle’s 10-year-old warmed up for this with a narrow second at Perth. He will bid to defy a career-high mark of 155 under 3lb claimer Joe Anderson.

Skelton’s team are represented by Hidden Heroics and he could be well handicapped off just 5lb higher for an impressive Stratford win last time out.

The Sam England-trained course winner Kinondo Kwetu must be feared. He has struggled of late but back over this course and a distance he’s comfortable over he can’t be discounted.

3.55 Wolverhampton – In-form Atlantic Gamble seeks the hat-trick

Atlantic Gamble seeks the hat-trick in the Neal Wood 15th Anniversary Handicap (3.55).

William Knight’s three-year-old arrives in fine form after scoring easily enough on his last two starts. He could prove a hard nut to crack up in class under Brandon Wilkie.

Sir Mark Prescott’s Orbital remains lightly raced after just six starts. Her trainer reaches for the visor now as she hopes to bounce back from a poor effort at Salisbury.

Diffident Spirit looks to go one better than last time out in this easier contest. Ray Dawson has been knocking on the door of late and can notch another winner on the board.

Today on Sky Sports racing: Trooper Bisdee faces Zoffee in Northumberland Plate at Newcastle | Racing News

Today on Sky Sports racing: Trooper Bisdee faces Zoffee in Northumberland Plate at Newcastle | Racing News

It’s day three of the Northumberland Plate Festival and Sir Mark Prescott has two big chances in the feature, but will have to get past Chester Cup hero Zoffee to land the prize at Gosforth Park.

3.10 Newcastle – Duke Of Oxford and Trooper Bisdee feature

Sir Mark Prescott is double handed with Trooper Bisdee and True Legend as he seeks to win his first Northumberland Plate.

Trooper Bisdee has been a typical Prescott handicapper, improving from a mark of 56 to his current rating of 90, and he will be fancied to complete the hat-trick under Hollie Doyle.

True Legend, the ride of Cieren Fallon, was narrowly denied when runner-up in a good race at Goodwood last month and could have each-way claims as he steps up to two miles for the first time.

Of the others, Chester Cup hero Zoffee is likely to be in the mix, whilst Duke Of Oxford has an excellent all-weather record but must defy stall 20 under Tyler Heard.

2.04 Newcastle – Kinross headlines strong Chipchase field

Star sprinter Kinross headlines a field of 11 for this Group 3 Chipchase Stakes.

Ralph Beckett’s seven-year-old has been a fine servant for his connections winning on ten occasions including twice in Group 1 company and he sets the standard as he drops in grade under new pilot Hector Crouch.

Karl Burke’s Spycatcher was sent off the joint 4/1 favourite when down the field in the Group 2 Duke Of York Stakes at York last time and needs to bounce back as he switches to the all-weather under Clifford Lee.

William Haggas claimed this race with Tiber Flow last year and he relies on Montassib in the renewal, whilst Albasheer makes a quick return having finished well beaten in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot.

3.35 Chester – Sunfall takes on Al Shabab Storm

Recent winner Sunfall faces Al Shabab Storm in Patron Tequila Handicap at Chester.

The William Haggas-trained Sunfall recorded her second success from just four starts when readily taking a Sandown handicap and she looks the one to beat despite a 7lb hike in the weights.

Andrew Balding saddles Al Shabab Storm who ran a race full of promise when chasing home Qirat in a deep race at Goodwood and a similar effort will see him go close.

Others to note include Ziggy’s Condor who disappointed when favourite at York last time and is better judged on his previous runner-up effort at the same track in May.

Best of the rest

Wiltshire looks the best of the bunch in the opening Handicap contest at Newcastle, but keep a look out Wodao who runs for the first time since transferring to Jamie Osborne from Donnacha O’Brien. Alphonse Le Grande was eliminated from the Northumberland Plate so instead runs in the Vase at 2.35 alongside Legendary Day.

David Probert rides Giant in the Pertemps Network Handicap at 3.40, but Local Hero will be looking to stop him in his tracks for Richard Hannon. There’s also action Stateside, with Godolphin and Charlie Appleby fielding Ottoman Fleet at Grade Two level at 8.52.

Today on Sky Sports Racing: German guineas star Darnation eyes Hoppings glory | Racing News

Darnation goes to post alongside Tiffany and Chic Colombine in the Hoppings Fillies’ Stakes – live on Sky Sports Racing…

6.00 Newcastle – Darnation faces Tiffany in Hoppings clash

Sir Mark Prescott enjoyed his third Royal Ascot winner last week and he saddles the Elite Racing-owned Tiffany. Twice a winner at Listed company in Germany, her trainer has brought her through the grades, and she looks ready for a crack at this Group 3 prize.

Karl Burke’s three-year-old Darnation bounced back from her 1000 Guineas defeat to comfortably claim the German 1000 Guineas at Dusseldorf and she must be feared as she heads up in distance under Clifford Lee.

Of the others, the George Boughey-trained Chic Colombine finished an unlucky second in the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom and granted more luck in the run she could fill the placings.

4.05 Yarmouth – In-form Great Acclaim eyes further Handicap success

Eve Johnson Houghton’s Great Acclaim has excelled since going handicapping and arrives seeking a hat-trick having scored nicely at Windsor and Newbury on his last two outings.

Ebt’s Guard finally broke his maiden at the tenth attempt, and he should be considered as he reverts to handicap company under Lewis Edmunds for this Join Moulton Racing Syndicate Handicap.

Roger Varian’s Magsood is another for the shortlist as he drops down in class and would have strong claims if able to settle better under Ray Dawson.

4.30 Doncaster – Monsieur Melee and See The Green contest

Jedd O’Keefe’s Monsieur Melee got off the mark when narrowing claiming a 12-furlong handicap here and looks to follow up as he heads up in distance off a 5lb higher mark.

Owen Burrow’s See The Green takes a huge drop in grade for this Jade Markham And The TPC Trailblazers Handicap, having finished well beaten in the Group 2 Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot last week and this looks more his level.

Miss Gitana is yet to win in seven starts but has finished runner-up the last twice and will hope to go one better as she heads up in trip under Daniel Muscutt.

Best of the rest

Makanah and Prince Of Zenda headline the runners in the Gosforth Park Cup, although also keep an eye out for Thunder Moor and Navello in the 5.25 contest. Distinction is eyeing three consecutive victories, and goes to post at 6.35 alongside Perfectly Timed – Hollie Doyle’s ride. The highlight at Bangor is a Class 3 contest, where Kaleb, Icare Allen and Party Business all feature at 7.23.
